THE RARE SANDALWOOD DELIGHT
For centuries, the altitude and fertile soils of Uganda made for exceptional coffee farming and rare sandal wood notes, but until recently it was a dying practice. Together with our partners, we started our long-term REVIVING ORIGINS program in 2018, joining with over 2,000 small holder farmers to increase the quality and yield of their coffee. We work together to develop good farming practices that lead to great harvests and improved livelihoods. A part of the beans is roasted to a dark degree to enhance body and complexity, while another part is roasted more lightly, reaching a medium-dark degree to preserve the more delicate aromas.
