Through our REVIVING ORIGINS program, we’re helping re-establish the region back on the coffee producing map. The name of this first African coffee from the program translates as ‘We are rising again in Zimbabwe’ symbolizing how, with collaboration, the coffee farming future is bright and full of hope.
A new beginning for Zimbabwe coffee
In spite of all the hardship, the energy and character of this region’s coffee community is strong. Here, the feeling of hope for the region’s coffee future is increasing as the resurgence of the market starts to improve the livelihoods of smallholder coffee farmers.
We’re committed to reach over 400 local farmers across the region within the next five years to offer training and sustainable practices which will help them revive their farms.

Thriving Once More
The region’s coffee market is now on the up. Alongside new training and sustainable farming practices, Nespresso’s Agronomists are working closely with local farmers to refine their existing skills, such as pruning, spraying and cutting - which will allow them to create rare and treasured coffee of the highest quality. The REVIVING ORIGINS program is working hand in hand with coffee farmers as they restore the reputation back to where it once was.

For generations to come
Farmers in Zimbabwe’s Honde Valley are proud of their coffee, which they carry from generation to generation. Our commitment is not only to support existing farmers but to also pave the way for future coffee growers. Together we are re-planting the seeds to revive this faded coffee region, which will bring stability to local communities and offer new opportunities for farmers to come.
A community, captured
The Fruits of our endeavor
Tamuka mu Zimbabwe is a flowery espresso from the famous Honde Valley. It sings with complex fruitiness and a zesty bright acidity, full of character, with notes of red berries, currants, and cranberries.
